Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Viaduct (the "App"), a native macOS application that converts Google Chrome extensions into Safari Web Extensions, published by Magicelk Labs ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License to use
Viaduct's source code and CLI engine are source-available under the PolyForm Shield License 1.0.0, which governs your rights to the code. These Terms govern your use of the distributed App and the paid "Pro" features. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App.
2. Eligibility
Viaduct is a developer tool intended for users aged 13 or older. By using it you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with all laws that apply to you.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App to convert, distribute, or install extensions you do not have the right to use;
- use the App to build or distribute malware, or to violate the rights of any third party;
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with any licensing, signing, or update mechanism in the App; or
- use the App in any way that breaks the law or the terms of the platforms it interacts with (Apple, Google, or the extension's own author).
You are responsible for the extensions you convert and for complying with their licenses. Viaduct is a conversion tool; it does not grant you any rights to the extensions themselves.
4. Purchases and payments
Viaduct is free for your first two conversions. "Pro" unlocks unlimited use and additional features and is sold through Gumroad. Gumroad is the merchant of record: it processes your payment and its terms and refund policy apply to your purchase. We do not see or store your payment details. Refunds, where offered, are handled through Gumroad.
5. Third-party tools and services
The App relies on tools it does not control, including Apple's Xcode and developer toolchain, a bundled Node.js runtime, the @magicelk235/viaduct CLI package, and the Chrome Web Store. Your use of those tools is subject to their own terms. Viaduct is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple or Google.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that conversions will succeed for every extension, or that a converted extension will keep working as Apple, Google, or the extension's author change their platforms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Magicelk Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end your right to use the App if you breach these Terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, unless mandatory law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
